THE PROBLEM

Christmas is so much more than a single day - the problem to solve was how to support the nation with ALL their shopping missions in the lead up to Christmas, and how Tesco could position themselves as the most rewarding place to shop.

The Zag

While everyone else takes ‘Christmas Spirit’ as a given, Tesco take a deeper look and how, when and why people feel Christmassy, and the unique role food plays in generating that feeling.

The Solution

The answer was a joyful world that dramatises the moment you become your Christmas self, celebrating Tesco’s role in providing many of the moments that give you that festive feeling, whether that’s your first mince pie of the season, a visit to Santa’s grotto, or a glass of bubbly on Christmas morning.

Christmas is a strange time. You hang out with people you don’t usually. You eat food you never do at any other time of the year. But whether you love it from the minute Halloween ends, or the hour before Christmas dinner, the one thing we know is true, is that eventually everyone gets into it. It's infectious. That's what we brought to life, in all its joyfully wonderful, and ridiculous, Christmas glory. Enjoy (with a side of mince pie).
