Riff Raff Films were awarded UK production company of the year by the Gerety’s UK jury.
The&Partnership has been awarded the UK agency of the year and Riff Raff Films awarded UK production company of the year by the Gerety Awards.
The UK judges (pictured), who came together at the School of Communication Arts in Brixton last week, selected the winners on the basis of the quality of their creative work. The Gerety Awards is unique because it judges all advertising, not just advertising to women, through the female lens.
The Gerety team believe that the all-female jury creates a powerful perspective, creating a benchmark that is relevant to the market reality, while redefining the standard to which advertising has traditionally been held.
Agency and production Company of the year by country is chosen by the local juries from a portfolio cut. Each company is allowed to enter a single film no longer than five minutes in length, including up to three pieces of work from the past 12 months. The entry requirements are designed to help level the playing field to enable independent agencies to compete on an equal footing with larger networks.
The&Partnership were awarded for their portfolio cut entry, which included the following spots: RNIB Design for Every Gamer, Pets at Home: We’re all for Pets and Ban Conversion Therapy. Notably, the scope of work underlined that inclusion and entertainment are not mutually exclusive pursuits.
We are really proud of this award, and what it signals about The&Partnership’s creative renaissance. That renaissance is built on entertainment and inclusion.

Entertainment and inclusion
Commenting on the award, Toby Allen, Executive Creative Director, EMEA at The&Partnership, said: “We are really proud of this award, and what it signals about The&Partnership’s creative renaissance. That renaissance is built on entertainment and inclusion, so it is especially heartening to see it recognised by an awards show that celebrates the same values. If you want to change the world, throw a better party.”
For a second year in a row Riff Raff Films were awarded as UK production company of the year. Their portfolio cut entry included: Burberry’s in-house campaign ‘Night Creatures’, ’The Awesome Product Adventure’ for Samsung, created by Wieden + Kennedy Amsterdam and ’Nailed It!’ for TK Maxx, created by Wieden + Kennedy London.
Riff Raff’s Owner, Matthew Fone, commented: “When you understand the values the Gerety awards holds dear, and the level of work and competition involved it is hard to appreciate the magnitude of winning this award for 2 years in a row. But in a humble way I do. Thank you so much to everyone involved.”
