The Farmonic Orchestra uses humour to showcase the star-quality produce used in Ginsters’ cornish pasties
Splendid is bringing pasty brand, Ginsters, to the stage in London’s West End’s first-ever vegetable musical. The latest installation of Ginsters’ ‘Taste the Effort’ campaign looks to showcase the star-quality veg used in the nation’s favourite cornish pasties placing them centre stage.
Taking place on the 3rd of November at The Other Palace, the musical, The Farmonic Orchestra has been directed and scripted by writers for hit UK sitcom, Peep Show, alons side others from the land of British comedy.
The show has been derived to celebrate the high-quality, local produce used in Ginsters’ products, and is infused with a dose of humour.
The show has been created with the help of the Vegetable Orchestra, who create music with instruments made from vegetables. The Farmonic Orchestra will feature Merryn, a passionate farmer who popped up on screens in Ginsters’ ‘Taste the Effort’ TV advert.
Priced at just £1.95, with proceeds going to The Trussell Trust - a charity tackling UK food poverty - the hour-long performance is a family-friendly event raising money for a good cause.
The show will feature in social activations, including paid, as well as influencer outreach. Going live in early November, the Farmonic Orchestra coincides with the brand’s Taste the Efforts ad running on BVOD, SVOD, radio and paid social.
Speaking on the unique activation, Sarah Babb, Marketing Manager at Ginsters, said: "We put a lot of effort into making our Cornish Pasties and sourcing the best of British produce, so we think they deserve their time in the spotlight to be appreciated like the stars that they are!”
Combining humour and practical purpose, the Farmonic Orchestra is a unique way of showcasing Ginsters’ star quality veg. With the campaign, Ginsters and Splendid prove that creativity within FMCG advertising knows no bounds.
