Virgin Atlantic is reviewing its global creative account, currently held by RKCR/Y&R.
The incumbent agency will re-pitch for the account, which saw an annual spend of £9,722,327 in 2013, according to BRAD.
Reuben Arnold, director of brand & customer experience at Virgin Atlantic, said:
“RKCR/Y&R have done a tremendous job for Virgin Atlantic over the course of the last 20 years, helping to create some of the industry’s most iconic advertising and take our brand to new levels right across the globe. But the world of marketing has changed significantly during that period and we operate in an increasingly competitive sector.
“As such the time is right to review our options and to ensure we have the best resource in place to match our future needs and ambitions. We have asked RKCR/Y&R to be a part of that process and they will re-pitch.”
Creativebrief is set to handle the review, and will aim to conclude proceedings by the end of August 2014.
This comes just a week after British Airways retained BBH following a seven month creative pitch process.
