Virgin Atlantic appoints FutureBrand to review brand

FutureBrand is working on a brand strategy brief for Virgin Atlantic, which follows the airline’s last major brand work four years ago.

FutureBrand would not comment on the scope of the brief and if it would lead to a full rebrand.

The last time Virgin Atlantic made a major strategy appointment was in 2008 when Circus was tasked with ‘reviewing and refining the Virgin Atlantic brand values’. This informed a rebrand by Johnson Banks in 2010.

The rebrand resulted in a new livery on the aircraft written across the entire fuselage, while the flag carrying lady was given a ‘subtle-makeover’.

FutureBrand was appointed to this new project following a pitch run by intermediary creativebrief.
