The campaign from Uncommon holds a mirror up to British culture to portray an authentic Christmas filled with personal traditions.
The podcast will launch with Bruce Daisley as its first guest and is part of NABS ongoing update to its proposition
With 33% of respondents to the All In Census reporting that they are affected by stress and anxiety, the industry continues to battle a mental health crisis.
To help draw attention to the importance of mental wellness at work, NABS, the support organisation for those working in advertising, marketing and media, is launching a new podcast series.
The NABS Podcast is set to be essential listening for people wanting to make a positive difference when it comes to mental wellness at work. Each episode will feature an interview with a leading figure in the industry and focus on how they support their own mental wellbeing and that of those around them.
The interviewees will also share personal stories of the industry and reveal how they’re challenging the status quo to make the industry a kinder, more supportive and inclusive place to be.
The NABS Podcast will launch on Tuesday (4th July) with an episode starring Bruce Daisley, workplace culture guru, podcaster and author and formerly EMEA vice president for Twitter. Bruce shares his insights for building culture in a hybrid world, focusing on the importance of forming social connections and how to do this following the collective trauma of lockdown.
The half-hour, snack-size podcast will be presented by Louise Scodie, NABS PR lead and event host, who hails from a broadcasting and journalism background and is produced by Lewis Hill, NABS’ digital marketing manager.
Episodes are set to be released every fortnight, with six episodes planned for series one and another six for series two in the autumn. Season one industry expert guests include Amy Kean, Chris Hayward, Nicky Kemp, Rania Robinson and Marty Davies.
The podcast is one of several new innovations at NABS following an update to its proposition, which is to advance the mental wellness of everyone working in the advertising industry. With the charity’s renewed focus on building and engaging the community the podcast is designed to act as a conversation starter which provides the chance to share industry insight and connect listeners.
The podcast aims to resonate with everybody working in advertising, marketing and media to provide a safe space to discuss wellness in our industry. The podcast will also provide a platform to share insight and advice on topical issues.
“The NABS Podcast aims to provide an accessible way for people to discover insights, knowledge and companionship to help advance our mental wellness. We hope you enjoy listening to it,” added Sue Todd, CEO, NABS.
Where looking after the mental wellness of individuals and teams is essential to the wider success of the industry, the NABS podcast provides a platform to learn and share with one another through open, honest conversation.
