Science and nutrition brand Zoe has acquired the podcast production and promotion company, Fascinate Productions, underlining the power of podcasting in marketing.

Zoe has the world’s largest nutrition podcast, the ‘Zoe Science and Nutrition’ podcast which has over 3.5 million monthly downloads. The show, which is regularly number one on Apple podcasts, was launched in March 2022, created by Fascinate Productions.

The acquisition underlines just how central podcasting is to the brand’s future growth plans and the growing firepower of audio storytelling in marketing.

Fascinate Productions was founded by Richard Willan and Sam Brown and focuses on the creation of podcasts for brands in the startup community.

The Zoe Science & Nutrition podcast successfully eschews the jargon so often featured in health podcasts. It features the world’s top scientists as they explain the latest health and nutrition research, translating it into practical advice for their engaged community of millions of monthly listeners.

Hosted by Zoe’s CEO and Co-Founder, Jonathan Wolf, the show regularly features Co-Founder and world-renowned scientist Professor Tim Spector and Zoe’s Chief Scientist Professor Sarah Berry, in conversation with evidence-based, influential guests such as Dan Buettner, Dr. Mary Claire Haver and Dr. Peter Attia. Popular show topics include gut health, intermittent fasting, dementia, and exercising for longevity.

Zoe’s mission is to improve the health of millions, and free education is a big part of this.

The acquisition also cements Zoe’s focus on its purpose. The brand has a longstanding commitment to providing science-led, accessible advice to millions.

Zoe aims to further expand the podcast’s reach in its mission to improve the health of its listeners through providing educational and engaging content on health and nutrition. At the same time, this phenomenal reach will help to increase the brand’s visibility, both in the UK and globally.

Jonathan Wolf, CEO at Zoe explains: “Zoe’s mission is to improve the health of millions, and free education is a big part of this. The podcast allows us to share accessible, science-first advice with millions of people around the world.”

He continues: “We think we found the right team, right from the outset, by working with Fascinate Productions. They bring end-to-end expertise in this medium, so we’re thrilled to welcome them to the Zoe team to further build on the show’s success.”

Richard Willan, CEO and Co-Founder at Fascinate Productions, added: “We are thrilled to join forces with Zoe and contribute to their important mission through our podcasting expertise. Our team is passionate about Zoe’s mission, and we’re dedicated to supporting Zoe in its efforts to empower individuals to make informed choices about their health and well-being.”
