The Advertising Association’s flagship LEAD summit heads up North

For the first time, the Advertising Association’s flagship industry summit, LEAD, is heading to the North of England.

On 9 May 2024, the Advertising Association will bring its summit that combines advertising and politics to Manchester. The new event will bring together over 200 senior leaders in the advertising and political landscape in the North of England to shine a spotlight on the region's creative hubs whilst highlighting the unique challenges and opportunities.

The event is set to take place in Manchester’s HOME Theatre and will comprise of sessions including political keynotes, the economic outlook and its effect on the industry, how to recruit and retain the best talent and contributions from major businesses in the region.

LEAD North is the latest in the Advertising Association’s series of events that include LEAD, held annually in partnership with the IPA and ISBA in London, and LEAD Scotland. LEAD North will be partnered by ITV, Teads and Mail Metro Media.

“The Summit will be a brilliant opportunity to champion our creative hubs in the North of England.” says Stephen Woodford, CEO, Advertising Association. “LEAD North provides a great opportunity to reflect on the strength of the region’s creative economy and what it can do to help return the UK economy to prosperity in 2024. It promises to be a must attend event to hear from key decision and policymakers ahead of the much-anticipated General Election.”

The event will be followed by a networking drinks reception, with a full agenda set to be released in early 2024.
