The AA, IPA and ISBA have today (9th January) announced the focus and lineup for the annual LEAD conference taking place on February 8th. This year, the conference will see sessions centred around the theme of ‘leading the way to responsible growth’, with the day hosted by journalist and broadcaster, Samira Ahmed.
Set to take place in the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II Centre in Westminster, the summit will bring together leaders from across the political, business and advertising industries.
Built around the theme of responsible growth, the conference will feature a keynote from former Prime Minister, Gordon Brown as well speeches from the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, Lucy Frazer KC MP, and Sir Chris Bryant MP, Shadow Minister, Creative Industries and Digital. With an election scheduled for 2024, the year is set to be shaped by politics and the advertising industry very much at the forefront of socio-political culture that impacts society.
“2024 will be a pivotal year for UK politics and the economy – what better way to commence it than by gaining insights from a former Prime Minister as well as those leading the charge in shaping policies for a stronger UK business and advertising environment.” says Stephen Woodford, CEO, Advertising Association.
The day is set to explore advertising’s role in shaping the future of the economy and will explore the latest in attitudes towards advertising including developments in public trust. Other sessions will explore the potential of AI and consider the impact that purposeful creativity can have.
