There is a sense of calm in the Cotswold’s that enables a focus that is hard to achieve in the heart of the city.
Two hours up the M40, nestled between the historic towns of Chipping Campden and Broadway in the Cotswold countryside, the FreshBritain Headquarters can be found on the idyllic Farncombe Estate.
The name ‘Cotswolds’ was derived in the Anglo-Saxon era. ‘Cots’ refers to a sheep enclosure, whilst ‘Wolds’ means rolling hills. This literal Anglo meaning of ‘Cotswolds’ is still a relatable description of the surrounding landscape today, in the 21st Century. With the untouched, natural beauty of the area, it is evident why it is recognised and protected by the government as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Whilst feeling a world away from the hustle and bustle of London, where the FreshBritain Design Team reside, the secluded Cotswold location provides a sanctuary for our clients, away from the overload of emails and meetings.
With many of our clients flying into the UK from Europe, the USA and Asia, our HQ provides the perfect location for the stakeholder workshop phase of FreshBritain’s eight-week Brand Vision process. The purpose being to take the leadership team away from their usual surroundings, encourage new perspectives and reflect on their brand in a different way to get to the most effective solution.
Working with Levi’s Global, FreshBritain’s objective was to redefine the brand, which was experiencing declining sales and a lack of meaning in an increasingly competitive market. FreshBritain repositioned Levi’s as the King of Denim, unlocking the future of the brand through ‘Authentic Self-Expression and creating the end line ‘Live in Levi’s’.
Dormy House Hotel and Spa. A few hundred metres from the FreshBritain HQ is the award-winning Dormy House Hotel and Spa. This is ideal for hosting overnight workshops where clients can relax in their luxurious accommodation and welcoming spa. You’ll be in good company with the likes of Coldplay and Lady Gaga rumoured to have stayed on the estate. The Dormy provides a perfect base to explore local attractions, such as Broadway Tower, which boasts a panoramic view of the Vale, and the Gordon Russel Museum in the village of Broadway.
Will’s Fitness is the biggest gym brand in China with over 150 locations in key cities. L Catterton, the world’s leading consumer growth investor, alongside Will’s Fitness commissioned FreshBritain to create a sharpened brand positioning and vision to drive growth across China and Asia.
The Lygon Broadway. In a historic 16th Century building the renowned Lygon welcomes all ages for lunch, whatever your preferred style. Its guest list has in the past included both King Charles I and Oliver Cromwell. The Fuzzy Duck in nearby Armscote has been garnering rave reviews and was a winner at the 2018 GQ food and drink awards.
Ncn’ean is a young, independent, organic whisky distillery on the west coast of Scotland. Since the brand’s genesis in 2016, FreshBritain has worked closely with Founder Annabel Thomas and her team to create a compelling brand proposition for Ncn’ean. This has included building a strategic vision for the brand that was developed into a creative expression with the brand name and visual identity. Ncn’ean have since been featured on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch and The Financial Times How to Spend It.
With 15 years’ experience in advertising and brand strategy, Jon Crane has provided strategic and creative direction to brands including New Era, Merlin Entertainment, Gore, Jack Wolfskin, Volvo Group, Ellesse and Salomon, as well as leading the commercial function at FreshBritain.
