From greenwashing to ‘green hushing’: what’s behind the recent silence around sustainability?
Businesses must find the balance between action and transparency to work toward a more sustainable future.
On Wednesday 24th May, we welcomed 175 agency and client members from across the industry to Picturehouse Central for the latest in our Modern Marketing event series.
It is no secret that the dynamics of the business landscape are changing, and what brands desire and require from agencies – now and in future – is up for debate. We therefore decided that the changing role for agencies in a world of modern brands was the focal point for the morning. It is through such events; by exploring how both clients’ and agencies’ outlooks diverge and coincide, that we can help the industry build a clearer picture of the agency/client model for the future.
We were very excited to be joined by four, expert speakers – all of whom featured in the Power 100. They were:
Leading the conversation was Creativebrief Managing Director Charlie Carpenter, who drew on the experience and insight of our speakers, as well as the findings of a survey we conducted with 50 agency CEOs and 50 client CMOs on the different topics facing agencies’ changing roles.
We were delighted with the way our audience engaged with the event, and pleased so many attendees found points for discussion. The experience and insight of our speakers took the conversation in unexpected and inspired directions.
The hashtag for the event, #MM17, was even trending in London topics for a short time – making the topic and Creativebrief officially (ahem) more popular than Top Gun 2.
Consensus on the panel at @creativebrief Modern Marketing? Agencies need to evolve to produce high quality content faster. And here are just a few thoughts from those who came to the event:
