The catchy song and accompanying music video from Lucky Generals underlines Yorkshire Tea is a summer holiday essential
There’s one bad thing about going on holiday. The disgusting tea, if you can even call it tea. The only way to have a proper brew abroad is to take matters into your own hands and ‘PACK YER BAGS’

Food & DrinkGetting a good brew abroad is an age-old British problem. In a new dancefloor banger, Yorkshire Tea proves that a box of tea is essential for any Brits abroad this summer.
“Sun hat check. Suncream check. 10 boxes of Yorkshire Tea? Cheeeeeeeeeeeeck.” The new tongue-in-cheek music video and accompanying song has been created by Lucky Generals and encourages audiences to do Ibiza ‘proper’ which means: don’t forget the Tea bags.
The catchy floor filler tells the story of a young British boy about to take off on a friend holiday where packing Yorkshire Tea is a must. Lyrics such as “Don’t wanna be a cheeky numpty, on me holiday I can’t a decent cuppa tea”, “Sambuca shot. Tequila shot. Rather have a Yorkshire tea in a teapot” and “Cabin crew to doors for arrival, the local time is tea time” put a smile on audiences faces as familiar scenes of a first-holiday with the lads capture the imaginations of viewers.
The accompanying backing track is reminiscent of current chart hits and the video is jam-packed with relatable, meme-worthy scenes that can be shared far and wide across social. The song even features a shout-out to daytime TV icon Lorraine Kelly: “Shout out Lorraine!” as the tune mixes absurd humour with the very real, simple, relatable situation of wanting a good old cup of tea on holiday.
“At Yorkshire Tea, we believe a proper brew makes a proper difference, and no more so than when you’re on your hols. Our latest tea song, brought to life by Lucky Generals, is a celebration of tea, the passion, and the lengths that people go to for a decent brew, wherever they might be! Pack your (Tea) bags.” says Carly Murphy at Yorkshire Tea.
The light-hearted campaign launches online and will be supported by paid media. It will also be searchable on Spotify.
Where youth audiences are not often the target market for Tea, the campaign ignores genre conventions as the song interrupts the usual connotations of a wild lads' holiday to place Yorkshire Tea in the centre of the chaos. References to getting “lightly caffeinated” air on the right side of risqué as the campaign opens up the brand to the next generation of tea drinkers.
The Ibiza anthem will no doubt put a smile on audiences' faces, resonating with audiences both young and old as Yorkshire Tea provides some much-needed joy and escapism just in time for summer.
