Agency: Work in Progress, WE ARE Pi
There is often that moment when you watch, read or look at a piece of art where your brain can’t quite comprehend what you’re seeing. You wonder, what on earth was going on in their mind when they made that?
To answer this question, We Transfer worked with We Are Pi’s entertainment arm Pi Studios to make Work in Progress. The studio is creating a four-part documentary video series which looks under the skin of some of the most ground-breaking artists to explore their creative process.
Episode one features the Icelandic musician Björk and London based artist Jesse Kanda talking about their artistic relationship. The video explores their long-term partnership and provides an intimate insight into their collaborative approach, which sees Kanda creating surreal music videos that accompany Björk’s songs.
The series highlights We Transfer’s role in the creative process, allowing the artists to share their work with one another. Work in Progress aims to inspire the creative class through a celebration of collaboration.
With 75% of We Transfer users being creatives, this explorative series offers more than just a behind the scenes glimpse into the artists’ lives. Instead it delves deep into the inner workings of the creative’s mind to unpack how and why they really create.
