How Converse refused to conform at Christmas

#BecomeMoreChristmas is the weird festive advert we didn't know we needed.
Featuring a family that’s getting into the Christmas spirit ahead of the big day, some more enthusiastically than others, the Tesco Christmas ad is here to help get the nation into the festive spirit.

RetailHark the Herald Christmas advert with the original idea!
Enter Tesco, backed by the creative firepower of long-term agency partner BBH, with an advert that will thaw even the hardest of cynical festive hearts. A simple, somewhat weird creative idea sits at the heart of this feel good campaign. The more festive you get, the more likely you are to turn into an actual festive being.
The advert very literally brings to life the strapline #BecomeMoreChristmas with people morphing into festive favourites from gingerbread men to actual Christmas trees.
Even a sullen teen slowly warms up to the same spirit, sprouting a couple of Christmas tree branches himself. The festive spirit is contagious.
Felipe Serradourada Guimaraes, Deputy Executive Creative Director of BBH, explains: “Christmas is a strange time. But whether you love it from the minute Halloween ends, or the hour before Christmas dinner, the one thing we know is true, is that eventually everyone gets into it”.
He continues, “It's infectious. That's what we brought to life, in all its joyfully wonderful, and ridiculous, Christmas glory. Enjoy (with a side of mince pie)”. The sentiment is aptly captured by the film’s soundtrack, ‘How Bizarre’ by OMC.
Proof that the radical simplicity of a great idea still cuts through at Christmas.
