Sisters. It isn’t easy having one; it isn’t easy being one. But, it is an indescribable bond, one that Boots and Olgilvy & Mather London have brought to life in their Christmas campaign #ShowThemYouKnowThem. The story focuses on how a meaningful present from one sister to another, can bring back an onslaught of memories.
The TV spot shows the special relationship between the two sisters over the course of their lives, highlighting moments that feature 11 nostalgia-inducing Boots products.
The festive ad flashes back to the ups and downs of the sisters’ lives, the car arguments, dancefloor sing-a-longs and playground games. From Seventeen Parma Violet Nail Polish and Natural Collection Banana Moisturising Cream Bath to, first kisses and wedding days, #ShowThemYouKnowThem shows the sisters getting older together, and how their present giving only gets better with age.
The use of the products to illustrate the sisters’ memories highlights the enduring presence of the brand in the lives of its customers, and goes to show that, maybe vouchers aren’t always a bad thing.
