Tech Will Save Us
Isobel launches new campaign 'Side Effects' for tech toy brand Tech Will Save Us
Disciplines: Advertising/Creative
Sector: Toys & Games
Agency: Side Effects, isobel
Tech Will Save Us’ website contains the statement that 65% of today’s school kids will work in jobs that are yet to be invented. While many seem intent on believing that technology will put us out of work, this tech toy company knows better, designing kits that let kids create, design, build and invent.
Working with isobel on their first Christmas campaign, Side Effects, the TV spot opens with a warning message about what’s to come. The ad has a cool kid, retro feel and is designed to show the possible side effects that prolonged periods of play can have on children, such as creating a robotic gang, redefining pet transportation or composing experimental bangers.
From a synth kit to electro dough and codable lights, Tech Will Save Us designs digital and physical toys for children aged from 4 to 12+ that encourage creativity through technology and coding.
The campaign’s message of empowerment for children is also at the heart of the brand’s ethos. If you don’t like the way something is, you now have the tools to change it, design it, invent it and just build it.
