Homebase
A series of simple, shareable, inspiring films of home improvement tips running throughout the year.
Disciplines: Digital, Social
Sector: Retail
Agency: BMB
Homebase has always positioned itself first and foremost as a home improvement company, helping people to make the most of the home they have. With the rise of social hacks and the need for easily digestible content, Homebase saw an opportunity to switch up their online presence.
The DIY brand worked with BMB to update its social content, creating #HomebaseHacks, a series of simple, sharable home improvement films, to run throughout the year. The videos have been crafted specifically for social, with the tips ranging from how to hit in a nail safely, paintings tricks and the perfect way to hang a picture.
The campaign repositions the brand as the go-to for home transformation, providing customers with useful DIY hacks and allowing them to make their home uniquely theirs. The handy hints fit perfectly into existing social feeds and follow a trend for ‘snackable content’.
#HomebaseHacks are the sort of films that make you go “oh, so that’s how” once you’ve seen it. And then make you want to dig out your tool box and attempt a few.
