Homeware retailer, Wayfair, makes consumers’ interior decoration dreams a reality in the second evolution of its ‘Get it out of your head and into your home’ campaign.

Created with Jung von Matt, the latest iteration of the campaign uses comedy to show how creating a dream home doesn’t have to be purely fantasy. As the spot underlines what you’re looking for is probably on Wayfair.

In two 20-second TV ads, we see the protagonists imagining their dream-furnished homes, before they are snapped back to reality and their actual surroundings. But the fantasy furnishings don’t have to stay in the imagination, they can be brought to life via Wayfair.

In one execution a rugby player runs into a beautifully decorated bedroom. Looking around smiling with his mouthguard in and rugby ball in hand, he acknowledges the man presenting a newly purchased vase, before the whole room begins shaking.

Turns out, he has been on a rugby pitch the whole time and the ground shaking was actually a group of rugby players charging towards him. The man from the dream was part of the out-of-home billboard above the pitch, advertising Wayfair’s ‘Get it out of your head and into your home’ campaign.

After getting knocked over, the daydreaming rugby player makes a dream purchase on Wayfair’s website, before the shot comedically changes to show him being taken away on a stretcher.

Carey Pearson, Head of Brand at Wayfair UK, explained: “Our new UK campaign captures the magic of turning inspiration into real life. We have all daydreamed about that one homeware item that will make a huge difference to the look or practicalities of our home - this campaign reminds customers that with Wayfair’s unrivaled selection and fast shipping, we can make their dream spaces a reality – quickly and effortlessly”.

The campaign launched in early February across TV, website, email, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube. Later in the year, May 2025, it will also go live with OOH shot by photographer Robert Rieger.

Capturing the familiar feeling of obsessing over home furnishing on a Pinterest board titled ‘Dream Home’ or simply dead scrolling perfect houses, Wayfair and Jung von Matt craft a relatable and comedic campaign. With witty storytelling the work shows consumers they can live out their furnishing fantasies in the real world.
