From the first of December, GENIE will be delivering a daily dose of creative inspiration via its virtual calendar, a welcome reminder of the ability of creativity to flourish, even in the midst of constraint.
2020; a year like no other. A year in which we should stop to celebrate, congratulate and share the creative work which made it out into the world in the most difficult and challenging of circumstances. It is this spirit of collective celebration and collaboration which underpins GENIE Talent’s '365 Days of Christmas’, a daily celebration of “the work the best creatives made when the world stopped”.
From the first of December, GENIE will be delivering a daily dose of creative inspiration via its virtual calendar which will be hosted on its website and also shared on Instagram and LinkedIn.
These daily moments of creative inspiration are a welcome reminder of the ability of creativity to flourish, even in the midst of constraint. Creative projects showcased include Closed Shutters by Dan Lacey, a project which photographed over 1000 closed shops; ‘Know your baby poo’ by Senior Creative Matt Roach; while ‘Face Cursor’ created by Creative Art Director Calum Ray allowed bricks and mortar-starved shoppers to use their cursor as their face to make that online shopping experience just a little bit more personal.
Other inspirational projects include ‘Libertipix’ by award winning Copywriter Donna Williams, the first exclusively LGBTQ+ stock image library. The imagery was shot by LGBTQ+ photographers featuring real people from the community to provide truly authentic and representative images of LGBTQ+ people.
The project underlines the unique power of the creative industry’s biggest asset: it’s people. A smart message for the talent platform, which connects the best freelance talent to the best briefs. The work was overseen by GENIE Talent’s CMO Nicky Badenoch, through Creative Content Works, with copywriting from James Cooper and art direction from Flo Heiss.
It is a diverse celebration of the power of creativity and a welcome reminder of the high points we can celebrate, in a year that many of us can’t wait to forget.
