How Avon redefined what it means to be a socially conscious brand
The beauty brand has placed purpose at its heart, transforming its relationships with consumers in the process, explains Avon's CMO, Özlem Çitçi.
The tongue-in-cheek campaign for FOOTY.com features Chelsea and West Ham stars Beth England and Jarrod Bowen.
Deadline day is a huge moment in the calendar for football fans each January. This year as the transfer window closes and last-chance-to-buy hysteria set in, FOOTY.com launched its own parody version of the day to showcase its deals.
The campaign features an array of sporting celebrities including Chelsea and West Ham stars Beth England and Jarrod Bowen as well as football culture YouTube and Instagram stars including Robbie Knox, Bambinobecky, Sharky, Thogden and Thogdad.
The slot mimics the traditional transfer window closing hysteria that fans are familiar with and will have seen on sports news shows. FOOTY.COM’s own ‘Deadline Deals Show’ descends into chaos as the sport-star cast play intrepid reporters who are increasingly astonished at the unique football deals on offer at the online platform.
‘We were thrilled to have Beth England and Jarrod Bowen join our stellar group of presenters and crew for our chaotic Transfer Deadline Day Show.” explained Sam Patterson, Marketing Director at FOOTY.COM, “Not only have they had amazing seasons on the pitch, they both excelled in their roles in front of the camera! Our fun new campaign is set to reinforce our position as the home of football price comparison, as we help our customers search, compare and save on the very best deals at FOOTY.COM.”
FOOTY.COM was founded to make football more affordable, allowing football lovers to search, compare and save money on products from the world’s leading sportswear brands and retailers.
The campaign is the brands largest to date, and alongside the video will see content featuring Jarrod Bowen and Beth England played out across all owned channels over the next six months.
