At a time when what constitutes success is fundamentally shifting, how brands represent aspiration, particularly when targeting women, is in flux. Mentorship, learning and support is becoming more central to the narrative of success.

Reflecting this trend ESCADA has created a new digital content series, The Experience Exchange, which features notable women who have helped to create positive societal shifts for other women around the world. Each shares their story and individual experience as well as offering their advice to others and answering questions from real women facing challenges in the workplace.

The women featured include Deborah Frances-White host of the Guilty Feminist podcast, the activist Lily Cole and writer and speaker Otegha Uwagba who founded Women Who. From tips on how to manage stress from the tennis player Andrea Petkovic to Cindy Gallop, CEO of Make Love Not Porn inviting you to “bullshit like the men do,” the series includes actionable advice. For example Frances-White’s advice to be remarkable, notice those around you and help them feel included. Because, she adds, “when you become conscious of other people, you cannot be self-conscious anymore”.

This campaign is fundamentally a project about strength. It’s about delivering real advice from real women that can be practically applied to life and the workplace. The series champions the power of community, of sharing skills and lived experiences and the idea that what you give out, comes back.

Change can only be brought about when we’re willing to share our stories, to share our learnings so we can all move forward together. And when those stories come from women who have each been successful in their own field, the advice carries even more weight. A final reminder comes from Yassmin Abdel-Magied, broadcaster, author and engineer: “Have fun.”
