Facebook revealed earlier this week that 70% of all content consumed, is done so on the go; when you're walking to the station, picking up your morning coffee or passing time waiting for a friend.

Content can be anything from videos to photos to a longer form article or podcast series. It is podcasts that have seen a significant growth in listeners over the last few years. Indeed, Edison Research reveals that an estimated 67 million people listen to podcasts on a monthly basis; 42 million listen weekly.  

A podcast is an audio file often available in instalments or series, perfect for listening to on the move. There is a podcast about everything, from the murder mystery series Serial (which has been downloaded over 250 million times) to TED's Radio Hour and Lena Dunham's Women of the Hour.

The journalist Guy Raz, who works for National Public Radio in the US, has created a podcast called How I Built This, exploring the stories of the founders of some of the most recognisable brands around the world, from Airbnb, Instagram, and WeWork, all told from the mouths of those who built them. 

It is a series about innovators, entrepreneurs and idealists. Each episode takes the listener through the individual's life, from their upbringing, to the start of their working life, and through to the moments that led each of them to build their company.

There is Sara Blakely who built the billion dollar brand Spanx using the $5,000 she saved from being a door-to-door salesperson; Suroosh Alvi who recovered from addiction and went on to build VICE; and Blake Mycoskie, who's one-for-one shoe company TOMS, was the fifth successful business idea he'd launched.

The 40 minute episodes fit perfectly into a morning commute and give you enough inspiration to believe that the idea you thought up lying in bed last night could, maybe, one day, become a billion dollar empire. All you need is a relentless work ethic, a well timed break and also, a little bit of luck.
