In celebration of the next generation of sporting superstars, adidas is showcasing the sporting skills of Nouf Al Anzi, captain of the UEA women’s national team.
In celebration and support of the next generation of sporting talent, adidas’s latest film features Zinedine Zidane and rising Emirati football player Nouf Al Anzi, captain of the UAE women’s national team, showcasing their impressive skills, passing a football over an iconic Dubai landmark.
The campaign underlines the marketing punch of the women’s game and reflects how adidas has long shown its support to rising talent, The film is shot at the emirate’s cultural landmark, Dubai Frame, audiences see football icon Zinedine Zidane and rising star Emirati football player Nouf Al Anzi engage in a kick-about of epic proportions. The short film, produced by Havas Middle East, shows Zidane and Nouf, at either side of the landmark passing a football back and forth through the Dubai Frame.
The Dubai Frame serves as the backdrop to the film as its architectural structure has been built to resemble a huge frame; capturing stunning views of Old Dubai and the emirate’s rich past on one side with New Dubai and its modern, futuristic landmarks on the other.
This idea is mirrored in the narrative of the film where the frame represents a “symbolic bridge” connecting one of the greatest players in football history, Zidane, with Nouf, a rising star, as the two come together through the beautiful game. The footage has been captured by a single drone to give audiences a panoramic view of the city and showcase the impressive level of skill from the two players.
Through the film adidas aims to inspire the next generation of athletes, encouraging them to embark on their sporting journeys of greatness, highlighting the possibilities that come with sport and what it can enable us to do on and off the pitch.
