The shop aims to raise awareness of menopause and its health implications for women
October is Menopause Awareness Month - a month which is very much needed as menopause remains one of the final taboos when it comes to women's health, despite the fact it's something that half of the world’s population will face.
To mark Menopause Awareness Month, Shhh…Menopause Wellness is opening up a pop-up shop in Boots to raise awareness of the menopause and its health implication for women.
Shhh… Menopause Wellness boasts a range of natural skincare products designed to support and encourage women who are going through the menopause to help ease their physical and emotional health. The pop ups will be open in Boots, Reading October 10-16th and at Boots Bluewater, October 17-23rd
Visitors of the pop-up will be able to explore the brand's selection of sleep sprays and bath and shower oils. Popular products include Shhh’s Relieve & Ease Magnesium Mist, a supersaturated source of magnesium, absorbed directly into the skin which can be an easy and effective way to replenish your magnesium levels while relieving muscle aches, anxiety, depression and fatigue.
Shhh… Menopause Wellness Founder Marva Williams will be on hand at the pop-ups to offer women going through or approaching the menopause advice and guidance to help them understand what’s going on with their bodies.
“Menopause affects all women with symptoms ranging from hot flushes and night sweats to mood swings, memory loss, and changes in libido that can leave a woman feeling fatigued, overwhelmed, and out of control.” says Marva Williams.
She continues: “Previously menopause has been a little-discussed part of a woman's life but just because it was, doesn’t mean it should be. I want women to keep the conversation going.”
Though the menopause remains largely unspoken about, brands like Shhh are working to break the stigma and open up conversations, reassuring women that they are not alone, normalising the shared experience of so many.
