Hostelworld were looking for an Agency to bring their ‘Meet the World’ brand campaign to life; shattering any outdated preconceptions of ‘hostels’ – showcasing their modern offering to the 18-35 year old traveller, as social hubs, stylish, design-led, unique and artistic spaces.

Insight

To the average millennial, travel is commonplace – it’s everywhere they look! To really put Hostelworld on the map, the attention of 18-35 year olds demands something extra. We needed to send a disruptive and clear message, celebrating the unique and exclusive Hostelworld experience – cutting through the noise.  

Strategy

To communicate “Meet the World”, we wanted to offer a once in a life time experience to stay in a completely unique hostel – creating a buzz across the world and bringing global fame to Hostelworld.

Solution  

“Meet the World” – we delivered the world’s first Sand Hostel on Kurrawa Terrace, Southern Gold Coast. Through experiential, content, PR and technology, we brought the spirit of the Hostelworld brand to life. The innovative and aspirational “Meet the World” Sand Hostel, combined with spontaneous feeling content created a buzz globally – smashing outdated perceptions – showcasing the brand to their ‘travel thirsty’ audience.
