Experience12 were tasked by agency Way To Blue and Amazon Prime Instant Video to conceptualise and deliver an activity to showcase their brand new show, Preacher, at London ComicCon. All within three weeks. 

No strangers to tight turn around times and pushing financial and creative boundaries, we decided what better way to make a statement than building an entire church-cum-immersive screening theatre. At 7 metres high, the Preacher church was the tallest structure in ComicCon history and became the focal point of the entire show. 

Inside the church we positioned genuine reclaimed church pews, a bespoke altar to conceal technical equipment and all the adornings you'd expect of a church battling the holy and demonic; lecturns, hymn boards, graffiti'd bibles, vials of blood and crucifixes. Above the altar hung a 60" plasma screen on which we presented 12 minutes of exlusive content introducing the chararcters of the show; Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), Tulip O'Hare (Ruth Negga) and fan-favourite, Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun). 

To captialise on the high footfalls of the show and entice visitors into the church, we positioned a photobooth outside - themed to look like a confession booth. From here we produced branded photographs for printing and social sharing, manned by our Brand Ambassadors dressed as Jesse Custer - Texan collartips and all.
