The brief

Recognise the efforts and contribution of thousands of independent local takeaway businesses by creating an event to find the best in the land and giving them a night to make them feel truly special.

Our solution

The inaugural British Takeaway Awards launched in August 2015 and we put on a night to remember for the finalists at The Savoy, London in November 2015. This unique and star-studded event, hosted by Tess Daly and Vernon Kay, put the owners of 65 independent small businesses at the centre of attention and we made every effort to ensure they felt like the real stars of the show on the night.

Their arrival on the purple carpet at The Savoy’s impressive River Entrance, complete with custom-made flaming balti dishes, was filmed live and edited into the introduction film/video which played as they took their seats in the Ballroom for an extra touch of glamour.

As well as hosting the event, Blueprint also provided guest management and registration services to JUST EAT to ensure all of the 250 guests from every corner of the UK made it along for an evening they will never forget.

The British Takeaway Awards are back in 2016 and once again JUST EAT have entrusted Blueprint to manage and host the event with a brief to make it even bigger and better.
